It's summer and if you're like me, you want to throw anything on the BBQ! Here's a marinara sauce you can cook up on the grill using all those fresh summer ripe tomatoes.

Shopping List:

tomatoes - any and all kinds chopped

basil

2 bulbs of garlic

EVOO

S&P

Set your BBQ on a medium heat. Drizzle some EVOO in a foil container and add all your tomatoes, a healthy bunch of basil, about 2 bulbs of garlic (each clove lightly smashed), and S&P.

Stir occasionally but let on the BBQ covered for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Depending on the amount of liquid continue to cook lid open for about another 30 minutes to an hour until thick.

Add to pasta, put on BBQ'd chicken or slather over some veg. You'll love this sauce anyway you use it. Maybe even with just a spoon or jarred and stored for later use.

Thanks Denise M!
