Try it Local Tri Tip

I just went to visit my parents along the central coast of California and we stopped by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's in-house butcher shop. This was a tri tip we picked up and BBQ'd on my dad's new egg grill.

Talk about tender and delicous. This tri tip was marinated in their own rub. Amazing!

Here's a tip. Buy local and search out where to purchase your food. Did you know Cal Poly SLO had a butcher shop? I didn't! The meat and produce we purchased during my visit all went to the programs and students who are apart of the college.

So while you're traveling or even at home, find a way to shop local. You'll not only help out your local farmers and community but you'll also learn to cook seasonally. Talk about fresh and delicious.
